Bali Yoga School

More than 5 stars for this amazing traditional Yoga school run by Deva’s family and staff nearby Ubud center. I came here for a 200 hours Yoga Teacher training and then I decided to stay another month for the 300 hours TT too. The better choice I could ever take. Highly recommended.

Taking the 100 Hour YTT and Sound Healing course in December was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It was so much better than I expected and in the end I didn’t want to leave. I nearly shifted my whole trip so I could stay for the 200 hours but unfortunately life had some other plans for me. I hope to get the second half of my training from the Bali Yoga School so I can begin my journey as a teacher. I am so grateful to all of the incredible teachers - Shanti, Pandu, Nikki, Divya, Chiara, and Ida - they blew my mind with their skill and knowledge and really inspired me to grow my practice. The staff were also so friendly, by the end they felt like family. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re on the fence, just take the leap, you won’t regret it 🥰

I have been 11 days at Bali Yoga School doing a Retreat. It was my first experience and also travelling alone in Bali. The school manager is Dewa, very friendly Balinese man and kind. The retreat is lead by Chiara, an Italian teacher, she’s always making sure you feel comfortable with the scheduling and very professional. Reiki session as the sound healing classes were an incredible success. She is very talented. Also practised pranayama classes in the morning with her. I had two other teachers: Shanti for the asana practice and Pandu for the meditation practice. They are both so experienced, you can learn a lot from them. Awen was my massage girl, she’s just wonderful and so sweet. Finally, I would like to give a huge thanks to all the staff working there, for helping us and making us feel like home for a few weeks: Vegis and Ayu, Tirta, Eka (the best driver you can find in Bali, very safe), and all the others! I recommend this adventure 100%

Enjoyed my 300 hour YTT here at this down to earth school. The teachers are knowledgeable and kind, and the 300 hour program is truly separate and different from the 200 hour program unlike at many other schools where you just basically repeat the 200 hour program and stay an extra week. The food is amazing and the rooms are cleaned every day. If something in the curriculum or something advertised online is very important to you I would recommend confirming that will be offered during your session- for example, we never had the yoga business session or used eye cups. If there is an issue with your accommodation like water, critters or nearby trash fires they will quickly help you. It was a splurge for us but definitely worth the price, you get more than what you pay for with the dedicated teachers and staff and you will learn a lot. Come prepared to work hard!

Thoroughly enjoyed my 500hour teacher training! The teachers are rooted and grounded in their knowledge, the staff serve you so lightly with joy. My first month was great doing the 200hour training. Thoroughly enjoyed the company and made many lifelong friends. The second month July 2025 was tougher, with the 300 hour training. Everything was the same, but my classmates (300hrs) really struggled with the discipline and complained a lot. Mainly a couple of people making life hard for the teachers and staff. I bow to the patience of the staff and teachers through this. I still enjoyed my time even though I lacked the support of my classmates discipline. I still made great friends with the 200hr teacher training group in July. Overall I can’t find anything worth cautioning about other than making sure you sleep well every night if you do the teacher training. Thank you Bali Yoga School 🙏 I’ll come back for a retreat when I have a change
